where's my deposit?

what right does a real estate agent have to keep a deposit on a house which was "subject to finance" a letter from the stipulated bank showing a decline of finance has been produced to the real estate agent but still refuses to return the deposit.

what are my rights and how can i get my deposit back?

I have a small amount of savings that I want to keep safe whilst still having ready access to and I'm not sure where to put it...in a bank, building society or suitcase under my bed? Those banks offering 100% cover for savings are reluctant to accept new deposits. Any suggestions anyone?

Off course you can have your deposits back .There is no right for anyone that can keep your deposite .go and force him to give you deposits back.You can launch a complain againts him too.
