What happens to a .ob or Over the Counter stock?
Companies on the Bulletin Board seldom make it to the exchanges. Legitimate companies generally go directly to the Nasdaq or the NYSE in an IPO. The pinksheets is where bankrupt companies go to die. Their shares are usually canceled and worthless after all the loose ends are tied up after bankruptcy. Then an entirely new stock is issued if they reorganize. The Bulletin Board and Pinksheets are not exchanges. They are quotation systems
